The Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) is a not-for-profit business organisation established in 1957 and incorporated in 1958 by a group of indigenous manufacturers, led by Dr. (Mrs) Esther A. Ocloo of Nkulenu Industries Ltd, in Ghana. Today, AGI is recognised as the leading voice of the private sector in Ghana.

The Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) is Ghana's foremost business association representing over 1,500 manufacturers and industries since 1957. We provide advocacy services, business support, trade facilitation, capacity building, and research services to help Ghanaian industries grow and compete globally.
Membership is open to all industrial and manufacturing companies operating in Ghana, as well as service providers to the manufacturing sector. We welcome businesses of all sizes from SMEs to large-scale corporations across 20+ sectors including food processing, pharmaceuticals, textiles, ICT, energy, construction, and more.
Members enjoy policy advocacy and representation, access to trade fairs and exhibitions, business networking opportunities, capacity building and training programs, market research and industry insights, trade promotion support, business matchmaking services, and access to regional (ECOWAS) and continental (AfCFTA) markets.
AGI engages directly with government on tax reforms, regulatory improvements, budget consultations, and industrial policies. We've successfully lobbied for major reforms including VAT deferment on raw materials, corporate tax reduction from 32.5% to 25%, the Public Procurement Act, and support for initiatives like One District One Factory (1D1F).

Absolutely! About 75% of our members are SMEs. We have a dedicated SME Charter and provide specialized support including capacity building, training in productivity and quality management, access to market opportunities, business matchmaking, and advocacy for SME-friendly policies.
AGI organizes trade fairs, exhibitions, and international trade missions. We support members in accessing ECOWAS and AfCFTA markets, provide export promotion services, facilitate business partnerships, and offer guidance on trade regulations and market entry strategies across Africa and beyond.
GISE is AGI's flagship annual event that showcases industrial innovation, investment opportunities, and partnerships. It brings together manufacturers, policymakers, investors, and development partners to promote Ghana's industrial transformation and create business linkages.
