Maiden Entrepreneurship Conference for Tertiary students held
The Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) has organised its maiden Entrepreneurship Conference for Tertiary students on Friday, 9th November, 2018 at the AGI Annex Conference room in Accra.
The Conference, which was attended by selected start-up entrepreneurs from Accra Technical University and Ghana Technology University College, heralds a series of entrepreneurship dialogues to be organised by the AGI for student entrepreneurs in 2019.
Topics discussed at the conference included Innovating with technology, Digital marketing, Business Ideas development, Growing your business and the Price of Entrepreneurship.
Addressing the students, Mr. Johnson Opoku-Boateng, Director of Business Development Services (BDS) at AGI, disclosed that the dialogue programmes will be climaxed by a business pitch competition to be organised for entrepreneurs in tertiary institutions as part of the 2019 edition of the Ghana Industrial Summit and Exhibition.
Other speakers at the conference were Mr. Daniel Amanquah; a food scientist, Miss Maria Rosa Flora; a scientist/lecturer, Mr. Hayford Owusu; IT professional, and Mr Kwame Jantuah; Lawyer, Industrialist, and Politician.
Attendees expressed great satisfaction about the programme and appealed for it to be replicated in their institutions of learning on a larger scale.
