AGI Strengthens Partnership with Friedrich Naumann Foundation

A delegation from the Friedrich Naumann Foundation (FNF) met with AGI on 15th July, 2009 to have a first hand briefing on the activities and plans of AGI, its partner organisation. The meeting which took place at the AGI Conference Room saw both organisations finding effective and efficient ways of perking-up as well as improving the working conditions of SMEs in Ghana.
In his opening statement, the head of the delegation, Mr Herald Klein said the visit was to share ideas and imforiation on issues that were of interest to both parties and to further strengthen existing partnerships between the two groups. According to him, FNF helps individuals trying to develop their business confidence through network of business mentors, partners and affiliates.
He noted that FNF incorporates Frederick Kerr's values into the ethos and character of the Foundation. "Our motivation is driven by the posititive outcomes for our beneficiaties and the economy of UK. We do this by funding sustainable self-employment by providing the necessary guidance, business knowledge and funding respectively" he said.
In his closing remarks, Mr Cletus J. Kosiba, Executive Director of AGI thanked the delegates and said the Association looks forward to deeper dialogue in the years ahead.
