The Government of Ghana, through the Ministry of Trade and Industry, has accepted an invitation to participate in the Global Village Expo currently going on in Dubai, UAE, till March 3, 2012, as part of the annual Dubai Shopping Festival and has acquired twelve (12) stands/stalls for use by AGI Members to showcase their export commodities and services.
As part of the programme, there will be a dedicated Ghana Business Week from January 28 to February 4, 2012, during which the Ministry will organize a trade and investment forum on Ghana, product launches and business to business match-makings to link the Ghanaian companies present with investors and importers in the Emirates. The delegation from Ghana would be led by the Hon. Minister of Trade and Industry, Hon. Hanna S. Tetteh.
AGI therefore invites and encourage Members involved in the exports of commodities such as processed cocoa; fresh and processed horticultural products; shea butter and shea products; jewellery; wood products; textiles and garments; artifacts; companies in the energy sector as well as construction and real estate developers to participate and explore the numerous business opportunities in the region.
Members within the target sectors who would not be able to participate are encouraged to send samples of their products for exhibiting at the Ghana stands.
Note: The Ministry would also support the shipment of exhibits.
